What Would You Normally Expect In A Business Class Flight Cabin?

As the name would suggest itself, the Business class cabin of an airline is the one which is comfortable for transacting work. However, an accompanying meaning of the term signifies that it is a seating which is more comfortable than the economy class, and therefore, has not got anything to do with business class.

An alternative term which is also used for the business class is the Executive Class. Again, the name connotes the meaning of ‘work’. So, the normal expectation of the people in this category of cabin is that it shall facilitate work while in the cabin. With this standpoint, let us examine some of the features which this cabin shall have.

1.       Comfortable seats: Seats have got to be wider and recliner than the ones present in economy. These might even be flat-bed.

2.       Writing or laptop stand: Another important feature desired is that there shall be space for writing on a piece of paper or working on the laptop. Sufficient space for keeping the laptop shall exist. You might also be given a writing pad, pen and other paraphernalia which aids your capability to work.

3.       Power points: People who fly cheap business class flights expect the seat to have a power point which can be used for plugging in chargers of laptops or mobiles.

4.       Entertainment: Working executives might want to relax during the course of flight and take out time for watching movies or TV programs.

5.       Refreshments: While meals and refreshments are provided as a standard practice of the airline, some of the airline even have a micro-fridge inbuilt in the cabin where a few small cans or bottles can be kept.

While the airline do have these facilities for business class travelers, it is the design of the cabin and the extent of automation which actually mesmerizes the passengers. Fine finishing details, class designs and good bit of technology intervention delivers an experience like none other.
