What You Need to Know About Flights to USA?

When travelling to a US city, either from within the US or from another country, it is always good to check out some of the most fundamental aspects of air travel in US. This is important so that you do not enter into any hassle at airport.

1.       Do have your identification proof in original with you always.

2.       Airlines in US generally charge for the check-in baggage. So, this is not going to be free for most of your travel within US.

3.       Airlines do not charge for the cabin baggage. Many of these do not prescribe any upper limit on bag weight but do have strict guidelines on cabin baggage size which can be taken.

4.       If travelling with any special baggage, do check for the feasibility of carrying it on flight (either in check-in or in cabin baggage). Airlines may have different policies on carriage of sporting or musical instruments, arms and ammunition, medical devices, special assistance aids and other items.

5.       If you are travelling with infants, people requiring special assistance or even pets, then do check for the rules and regulations. You might be asked to fulfill certain documentary formalities before taking the cheap international flights to USA.

6.       US provides pre-clearance at certain airports around the world. This facility is intended to enable passengers to avoid long wait time at the US airports when arriving from these airports. So, passengers shall check whether this facility is available at the airport of their city or not.

7.       Do not infringe the security policies of US while entering the US. Do take note of what all is allowed to carry into USA and what all is not allowed at all. Do read through the list of banned and restricted items.
